Official Schaller Guarantee:
In addition to the liability for defects according to our terms and conditions of sale, Schaller guarantees the durability of its products, based on the following preconditions, and within the scope of these conditions for 5 years.
As the manufacturer, we guarantee that our products shall function flawlessly.
This guarantee excludes:
- Inappropriate use, such as applying undue strain to the product, unauthorized alterations to our products etc.
- Damage caused by external influences, use of undue force or the use of foreign objects
- Damage caused by non-adherence to our instructions and installations manual
- Partially or completely dismantled products.
Our guarantee covers faults which inhibit the operation of our products and which arise within the guarantee period. In the event of such faults, the product shall be either repaired or replaced free of charge at our discretion.
All expenses, taxes, charges, fees, postal costs, customs duties and the like incurred by the customer, shall not be reimbursed by Schaller.
This guarantee shall only apply when there is proof that the flawed operation in the product has arisen within the guarantee period. Receipt of purchase is required as proof of same. For this reason, it is imperative that the customer keeps the receipt carefully stored, until the guarantee has expired at the earliest.
The guarantee period is 5 years. The guarantee begins on the date of sale to the end-user. When returning products to us, please ensure to include the original receipt of purchase on which the date of purchase is clearly legible.
In the event that the customer is the end-user, the guarantee period begins when the product is transferred to the end user.
All potential guarantee claims shall be deemed invalid when the guarantee period of 5 years expires.
Please note, when a guarantee is issued, § 477 of the German Civil Code (BGB) shall apply (The following shall apply in the event that our customer is the end-user):
Irrespective of this manufacturer guarantee and irrespective of whether the aforementioned guarantee is drawn upon, the statutory purchasing rights are not affected.
In the event of defects in the purchased goods consumers can choose between four types of redress which they can assert with the vendor: free repair, replacement, reduction in purchase price or cancellation of contract (see § 437 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and hereto the relevant limitation rules in § 438 of the German Civil Code (BGB)).
